Mailjet Subscription Widget
You have successfully configured the Mailjet module. The next step is to add a contact signup form to your website, so that you can easily capture new contacts directly from your site and synchronize them with your Mailjet contact lists. You can do this using the Mailjet Subscription Widget.
Note
You can add more than one subscription widget to the site, allowing you to collect subscriber information to various contact lists. For example, you can create one widget for regular customers and a second one for possible Sales partners, and link them to two different contact lists in Mailjet.
How to Add the Mailjet Subscription Widget¶
-
To start, in the Joomla admin click on ‘Extensions’ → ‘Modules’.
-
To add a new module, click on ‘New’.
-
You will see a list of possible modules you can add to your site. Look through the list to find the ‘Mailjet’ subscription widget and select it.
How to Configure the Mailjet Subscription Widget¶
You will now need to configure the widget. On the right-hand side you will see the general module configuration settings, and on the left-hand side the settings specific to the Mailjet widget module will be displayed.
First of all, you need to select a Title. This will be an internal name for the widget to be shown in the ‘Modules’ section.
The options specific for the Mailjet widget module are:
- select list - Choose the Mailjet Contact List to use. New subscribers that use the widget will be automatically added to that list. You can create additional lists in the ‘Contacts‘ section of the Mailjet module
- Button text - The text that will be displayed on the Subscribe button
- Email label - The label for the email input field
- Widget title - The title of the widget
- Success message - The message the user will receive when the subscription has been completed successfully
- Duplicate message - The message the user will receive if the email they entered is already present in the contact list
- Error message - The message the user will receive if the subscription could not be completed
Note
The rest of the options are the standard configuration settings for modules in Joomla. You can find more information about them in the Joomla Documentation Portal
Once you have finished configuring the widget, click on ‘Save’. When the changes are successfully saved, you will receive a confirmation message.
